Neno disaster office says two people have died after walls of their houses fell on them amid heavy down pour.

The department's head in the district Amos Chandilanga has told Zodiak Online today that, a child has also been killed after being swept away by running waters in the area of T/A Symon.

He adds that efforts to reach out to the affected families are being hampered by poor road network.

He further stated that 83 houses have been damaged, affecting people from zigwa and Kalinde villages in the area of Senior Chief Mlauli.

Meanwhile, a call has been made to different sectors to help the affected households with immediate basic needs.
