Peoples Transformation party (PETRA) says it will hold its elective conference the month end of October at a venue yet to be announced in Lilongwe.
PETRA secretary general, Boniface Nyenyezi has told #Zodiak on Thursday that 700 delegates are expected to elect new party leadership.
Nyenyezi said: “so far, no individual has come forward to challenge the party president Kamuzu Chibambo – but all positions are up for the contest.”
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Peoples Development Party, Democratic Progressive (DPP) and Peoples Party (PP) and Umodzi Party (UP) have already held their elective conferences.
Experts have tipped the political parties to support more women and youth hold party and elected positions.
