We Won't Go - Chitipa District Hospital Junior Workers

Disgruntled Junior workers at Chitipa district hospital have vowed not to relocate to rural health facilities following a posting instruction from the hospital management after they queried over alleged misuse of government vehicles and lack of promotions.
 
The Junior staff who spoke to Zodiak online on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals described the decision by management as a deliberate ploy to silence them.
 
"We are not going anywhere fumed one of the Junior workers, "Why should we be punished for expressing our dissatisfaction with the state of affairs.
 
Director of Health and Social Services for Chitipa, Dr. Wilson Ching'ani questioned the legality of the Junior Workers Committee but he was quick to point out that his office will institute an independent investigation into the matter.
 
Our findings show that the Junior workers committee has been there for over 10 years.
 
The ward clerks who have been transferred from the district hospital to rural health facilities are Joseph Mubisa, Willy Mogha, Joseph Simwaka, Chimwemwe Kaonga, and Albert Mwenegamba.
