Team Chipambano Launched in Blantyre

Team Chipambano, a youth empowerment initiative, was officially launched on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Golden Peacock Hotel in Blantyre.

The event brought together young people, partners, and community leaders to mark the beginning of a movement focused on holistic healing, youth empowerment, peace-building, and social inclusion.

Deputy Mayor of Blantyre City, Gerald Lipikwe, graced the launch and praised Team Chipambano for its commitment to youth development.

"Young people should take ownership of their future and become active contributors to community development," he said.

The event featured speeches, performances, and testimonies highlighting the importance of unity and collective action in driving positive change.

The Team's Chief Executive Officer, Michael Chitanda, has outlined the organization's plans to establish school clubs, providing a platform for young people to discuss issues affecting their academic, social, and personal lives.

Chitanda said "we aim to create a space where youths can share their concerns and work together to find solutions".

On his part, founder Diver Jutta, emphasized the importance of listening to and mentoring young people.

"It's crucial that we embrace our young ones, listen to their issues, and guide them towards achieving their dreams. If you have a child who's struggling, send them to Chipambano, and we'll help them find their way," Jutta said.

He expressed his desire to see a generation that values life, seeks God, and learns through mentorship.

Chipambano plans to connect mentees with mentors, and Jutta appealed to parents with troubled children to reach out to the organization.
 he said.

The event was under the theme "Team Chipambano", meaning "victory".
