Jehovah’s Witnesses will begin their annual convention series on Friday, 20th June 2025, at the Lilongwe Assembly Centre in Area 14, under the theme “Pure Worship.”
The event will run over multiple weekends across various assembly centres throughout Malawi, drawing thousands of attendees and offering an economic boost to surrounding communities.
According to Given Chichitike, Central Region Spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses, the convention aims to provide spiritual encouragement amid ongoing social and economic challenges.
“We look forward to warmly welcoming the public to this year’s program,” Chichitike said, adding that the theme is intended to bring “clarity to many people who are searching for hope.”
Organizers say the event will emphasize the importance of sincere reverence and worship, and is open to the public free of charge.
The convention, part of the church’s broader efforts to open up to the public and foster greater community engagement, comes at a time when religious gatherings continue to play a significant role in addressing emotional and spiritual needs across the country.
