Heading: Royal Coaches Launches a First Bus Service in Neno

The bus is expected to ease traveling challenges

The people of Neno can now celebrate the end of traveling challenges as a stable new bus service has been launched in the district under the banner of Royal Coaches, a subsidiary of AGMA trust.

The people of Neno have been using unroadworthy motorcycles to commute to either Blantyre via Zalewa or to Mwanza, leading to accidents that result in injuries and even deaths.

Proprietor of the Bus Service, business magnet, Mark Katsonga Phiri has told Zodiak that, people of the district have been facing challenges to commute since time immemorial hence his bold decision to introduce the coach in the difficult Neno terrain.

He said that his idea is to ease traveling challenges and facilitate competitive business since people in the district pay more for good and services procured from other districts.

" I want people to travel in comfort and manage their time, they will be buying cheaper items back home because traders will be transporting their good at a cheater price," said Katsonga.

The people of Neno have been waking up as early as 2am to catch up a bus to Blantyre in this new age, a thing that has been leaving the people roughed and sidelined, depriving them of essential services.

Now the Royal Coaches has brought an economical and comfortable way of traveling, cutting costs almost by half, as commuters use almost K20, 000 to reach Zalewa on bumpy and uncomfortable shortcut hilly route on motorcycles (Kanza) with an extra cost to reach Blantyre,it's neighbor.

Neno District Council Director of Planning and Development, Charles Lomoni said the new coach is a mile stone in opening up the district and harnessing business opportunities and growth, since consumers have been paying more due to high costs of ferrying commodities to Neno.

Jayne Malanda, from Kambale who boarded the bus from Kambale to Blantyre said the bus has come at a right time and will serve them better in this coming rainy season as in the past they were stuck in the mud and even rocked in the district until when it's dry again.
