Alex Ngwira Joins Dynamos as Head Coach

Ngwira replaces Andrew Bunya as Dedza Dynamos head coach

Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos have announced the appointment of seasoned tactician Alex Ngwira as their new head coach.

The development follows the sacking of former coach Andrew Bunya, who was relieved of his duties on Sunday after a string of disappointing results.

Ngwira, a former head coach for Mighty Wanderers and Chitipa United, brings with him a wealth of experience and tactical acumen. He is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable football minds in Malawian football, having previously led several top-flight teams with varying degrees of success.

Confirming the appointment, the club's vice chairperson Mavuto Mugode said Ngwira has already arrived in Dedza to finalise what is believed to be a two-year contract.

Mugode expressed optimism that Ngwira's leadership will help to steer the club back to winning ways.

“After careful consideration, we believe his vast experience and deep understanding of the game make him the right person for the job,” Mugode said.

Dedza Dynamos have endured a challenging run in recent fixtures, suffering two home defeats in a row, 1-0 against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and 4-0 at the hands of Karonga United within a space of 4 days, a factor that contributed to the decision to part ways with Bunya.

Ngwira's immediate task will be to assess the current squad and prepare the team for upcoming fixture against Civil Service United on Saturday at Dedza Stadium.
