Chatoloma Admarc Booted from CRFA League on Disciplinary Grounds

A Kasungu-based football team, Chatoloma Admarc, which plays in Chipiku Central Region Football Association League (CRFA), has been expelled from the league for failing to meet key regulatory requirements.

A statement dated 24th November 2025, signed by CRFA General Secretary Antonio Manda, indicates that the team failed to honour three consecutive league fixtures without providing valid justification.

The association says this breach automatically invoked Article 13.20 (b) of the Central Region Football Regulations, which mandates the removal of any team that fails to fulfil three straight matches.

As part of the sanctions, Chatoloma Admarc has also been banned for five years from participating in any football activity under CRFA.

Reacting to the development, the Team’s Director, Lovemore Dalo, attributed the their failure to appear for matches to financial challenges that led players in boycotting games.

“It has been hard for us throughout the season to honour most of our fixtures due to lack of sponsorship, to the point where the boys went on strike over unpaid allowances and game bonuses.

“We can therefore say that the financial constraints we are facing as a club have cost us all of this.” said Dalo.

He however added that despite the ban, the team’s ambitions remain alive, saying they will continue operating and contributing to Malawi’s football development by identifying and nurturing raw talent.

“We have received and accepted the verdict. As an executive committee, we will meet to thoroughly review the situation and determine the team’s next steps,” he said.

The verdict follows the team’s failure to honour a home fixture against Armour Battalion last weekend, as well as earlier missed away fixtures against LUANAR and Airborne Rangers in the two preceding weeks.
