Lungu Joins Ekhaya After Leaving Bullets

Malawi national team left-back Alick Lungu has joined Ekhaya FC on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. The move sees the defender remain in the TNM Super League as he begins a new chapter with the Blantyre-based side.

Lungu left the People’s Team under a cloud of uncertainty after contractual disagreements led to an unceremonious exit.

Despite the circumstances surrounding his departure, the 26-year-old has secured a fresh start with Ekhaya FC, who have moved quickly to bolster their defensive options.

Widely regarded for his pace, defensive awareness, and attacking contributions from the left flank, Lungu brings valuable experience to Ekhaya’s backline.

In a brief engagement with club's media team, Lungu expressed excitement about the move. "Joining Ekhaya FC is a huge step for me. I’m looking forward to contributing to the team's ambitions and connecting with the fans."

Ekhaya FC Head Coach Enos Chatama welcomed the signing, describing Lungu as a player with strong character and top-level experience.

"Alick is a fantastic addition to our squad. I have worked with him during our time at Bullets reserves, i am aware of his abilities and i cant wait to have him in the squad. His experience at both club and international level will be crucial for us as we continue with our games."
